When I joined in 2021, the newly rebranded Angi needed to grow its in-house brand team, establish its new identity, and reintroduce itself to world. As Copy Director, I was responsible for creating and promoting a brand people would love, overseeing the voice and establishing a creative vision across channels — work which increased engagement on owned social channels by ~600% and impressions by ~1750%.
To make it happen, I helped build the brand from the ground up — defining the Angi voice in practice, developing foundational resources, and safeguarding the brand internally and externally.
I also helped lead the overhauling of our social media presence on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok, growing follower counts and elevating our content.
In between, I was concepting brand campaigns, optimizing email franchises, managing a copy team, providing scripts for podcast reads, editing internal documents, workshopping UX copy, crafting full-page ads for the New York Times, refreshing customer care scripts, brainstorming event swag, working with vendor partners, writing push notifications...
Because if you don’t write the voice, you can’t really know it.
